Congratulations to the 2026 Award Winners
Kendall Whiteaker
I am Finn Rosengren, a graduate of Serena High School, and I will be attending IVCC in the fall. I will spend one year at IVCC and then I will have completed my associates degree. Then I plan to transfer to the University of Illinois where I will major in an agriculture related field of study. A fun fact about me is I want to be a farmer.
West Aurora
My name is Aidan Concha and I am a responsible, reliable, and kind 18 year old with a passion for engineering and everything technology and space related. I was born in Aurora, Illinois and live with my mom, dad, and my brother, who is currently attending NIU for computer science. Graduating in May, 2026, I love playing video games with my brother and really enjoy traveling (even though I only flew to Colorado and drove to Oregon). I dream of creating rockets and other spacecraft to change the world, one space visit at a time. Finally, a fun fact about myself is that I’m terrified of all bugs, even the smallest ants freak me out, so I would almost certainly never live in Australia.
Aubrey Atkins
My name is Luke Roller. I’m the oldest of 3 siblings. I just graduated from Oswego High School, Class of 2026. I played basketball at Oswego High School for 4 years and football for 2 years. In my free time I love to golf. My plans are to go to Illinois State University in the fall. I am 1/2 Egyptian and I like to cook.
Olena Ftoma
My name is DJ Robinson, and I’d first like to thank the Trevor Wehner Memorial Scholarship for selecting me as a recipient! I am a 2026 graduate with honors from East Aurora High School. I will be attending Aurora University, and plan to major in Communications with a focus on Digital Media Technology and Theatre. Fun Fact: I love watching all of Gordon Ramsay’s cooking competition shows! I even aced 3 Culinary classes in high school and became a member of the Culinary Club my Sophomore year. I went from a picky eater to a Foodie!
