Trevor Wehner Memorial Scholarship Inc.
The Trevor Wehner Memorial Scholarship Inc. was established on May 25, 2019, following the untimely and tragic death of Trevor Melvin Wehner at a mass workplace shooting that occurred at the Henry Pratt Company in Aurora, Illinois on February 15, 2019.
What We Do
The TWMS, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c3 tax-exempt organization that administers individual charitable funds from which scholarships are distributed. On behalf of generous individuals and businesses, we are able to administer ten $1000.00 scholarships annually to help students in Dekalb, Kane, Kendall, and Lasalle counties pursue their dreams and goals following high school graduation at trade schools, colleges, and universities.
Our scholarships
We compiled a list of criteria based on the type of person, student, friend and teammate that resembled Trevor. A short essay question addressing a leadership role or overcoming an obstacle is required and weighs heavily on the selection process.
